Zine making is the DIY (do-it-yourself) practice of creating small, self-published booklets — often filled with personal stories, art, poetry, essays, or thoughts. “Zine” comes from “magazine,” but unlike commercial magazines, zines are typically handmade, raw, and expressive.

Here’s what makes zine making special:

• ✂️ Creative freedom: There are no rules. You can write, collage, draw, or combine it all.
• 🖐️ Handmade: Most zines are physically made using paper, glue, pens — this time, we are not using any scissors to rely on our hands to shape what we desire.
• 📚 Topics: Zines often reflect personal experiences, resistance, identity, or underground culture, this time in a format of poetry.
• 🔁 Easily shared: They're meant to be shared in small batches, passed around, or displayed in festivals.
